More new bows!

Here are some more bows I worked on this summer:

LSU football season is less than a month away!! Geaux Tigers!! I have some really cute purple/gold polka dot ribbon, as well as some purple/gold tiger stripe ribbon (stay tuned, bow in progress!) I also have some Saints ribbon for some of the "Who Dats" out there! Anyway here is a bow I made from the polka ribbon for a birthday girl!

A friend had an "ice cream social" themed birthday party for her little one, and here is the bow I made for the birthday girl.

I'm baaaack!

It's been over 6 months since my last post, and boy, have I been busy! Went back to work, a trip to Disneyworld, summer vacation, and now getting my little ones ready for school to start...whew! But yes, I am still making bows! And still taking orders, so email me at bow.girl@yahoo.com. Anyway, here are some I've been working on in my "hiatus" :-)

School bows! Several of my friends have little girls starting Kindergarten this year (sniff sniff), and many of them have the same school colors. So we have had to get creative with the oh-so-fabulous colors of navy and burgundy (yuk!) Not exactly the most sought after colors with 5-year-old little girls! Anyway, here are some bows I made for some friends for school uniforms.

Millenium blue/preppy stripe large bow $8

Burgundy/fall daisy large bow $8

And of course, any of the printed ribbon can be made into a medium bow, if needed.

Matching sets!

Here are some matching bows I did for some Same Monogram shirts. My daughter absolutely loves the Rapunzel shirt, and now wants one for Disney...along with the Minnie shirt and the Jessie shirt, etc. Aimee has so many cute things, it is hard to choose!

My little Valentine's cutie pie!

Aimee from Same Monogram made my two little ones matching "conversation hearts" shirts for Valentine's Day...as you can see, my little Avery's shirt says "cutie pie" (for obvious reasons!) and my son's (not shown) says "hug me" since he is such a little hugger! Anyway, I have this really cute conversation hearts ribbon, so I whipped up a bow to match...I think it's pretty cute! Although it may be the cutie pie herself that makes me a little biased!

Valentine's, Mardi Gras, St. Pat's!

I'm working hard on that New Year's resolution, ha ha! These are some bows I've been working on for the upcoming holidays...and they are on the blog in time for orders!! Yay!! These next few months are so busy for us...not only do we have Valentine's, Mardi Gras, St. Patrick activities, but my birthday is in February, and both kids are in March! And this year, we are throwing in a Disney trip just for kicks! Just trying to take it one day at a time...but anyway, these bows are medium sizes, but of course I can make a large bow using any of this ribbon by layering it on top of a solid color. I made a Mardi Gras bow for my little one last year with the Mardi Gras dots layered on top of a bright yellow ribbon that was super cute! And this year, Aimee at Same Monogram made my little ones shirts with conversation hearts on them, so I'm making Avery a layered bow with the conversation heart ribbon to match (picture to come!!)

Christmas bows...better late than never!

OK, I know I said I would work on the Christmas tree and Snowman clippies, but unfortunately, time was an issue this Christmas getting orders done and playing Santa (as every year) and it didn't get done :( However, I am currently working on Valentine's bows, so stay tuned!

I wanted to come up with cute gifts for the kids' preschool classmates, so OF COURSE it was a no-brainer to make bows for the little girls! I made a variety of bows in Christmas colors and patterns (solids, dots, and stripes)...medium size for the 2 and 3 year old girls in my son's class, and large size for the 4 and 5 year old girls in my daughter's class. I thought they turned out pretty cute! What did the boys receive, you ask? Certainly not bows, right? The 2-3 year old boys received Snoopy Christmas socks, and the 4-5 year old boys received Grinch Christmas socks! Anyway, I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and a blessed new year! Hope all your resolutions are accomplished! (Maybe I should make a resolution to get my holiday bows on my blog in a timely manner, just a thought...)

Happy Thanksgiving!

So here is my Thanksgiving turkey (and it's the closest I'll get to making anything with a turkey this Thanksgiving...hee hee!) I've been wanting to try these little "ribbon sculptures" for a while, and of course I wait until 2 days before Thanksgiving to throw together a turkey for my little one! My next try will be a snowman, so stay tuned for that one...and if you would like to order one, I'll try to whip one up a little faster this time! These are $4. Your little one can wear it solely as a clip, or you can clip it onto a bow as I have done here:

And since it is Thanksgiving, I would like to say that I am so thankful for my beautiful family, my health, my beloved friends, and of course, a gracious and loving Savior, Jesus Christ, who has blessed me with all of these gifts. Anyway, hope you all have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving holiday! Enjoy!
